Grande Scrappy Tiles Pattern Launch Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hi, I am sharing today my version of the Grande Scrappy Tiles pattern that I tested for Meadow Mist Designs. I am calling my version, The Cowboy Way. I made the twin size version.  It is made in a cowboy south western theme for my daughter. Grande Scrappy Tiles is being released for sale today.

GST flimsy narrow

I had a lot of fun putting this quilt pattern together. It goes together so smoothly. No major seams to match up. A single block is 24 inches so you can have a large quilt in no time at all.

There is so much potential in one pattern. It allows you to showcase some of your larger favorite prints. I am thinking of making another version of this quilt in all different plaids from my stash (from when I made/sold primitive cloth dolls).

You can read more about my quilt The Cowboy Way here, here and here.

Grande Scrappy Tiles will be on sale for 2 weeks at $6 (until July 4th) and is available on etsy, craftsy, and payhip.

Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs has graciously allowed me to have a giveway of one pdf pattern of Grande Scrappy Tiles to one of my followers.
To enter the pattern giveaway, tell me what is your favorite pet? Cat, Dog or another? Our family just got a new Australian Shepherd puppy this past weekend.
If you are a follower of my blog in some fashion, you can have an additional entry.
If you think you maybe a No-Reply Blogger, please leave an email where you can be reached.
This contest will be open for a week and the pattern winner will be drawn on June 27th.
Be sure to check out Cheryl’s blog for all the other lovely versions of Grande Scrappy Tiles.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Happy Sewing,

  • My favorite little buddy is my toy rat terrier, Eddie. People mistake him for a jack russell all the time, if that tells you what he looks like. He is a smart and sweet little guy that just wants to cuddle with you, except for when he is asking you to play his favorite game of course. I call his game, “here, take this” because he will bring a toy to you and hold it for you to take it. If you don’t take it, he will sit it down and wait some more. When he runs out of patience he will nose whatever toy it is towards you. If you still ignore him, he will start whining in increasing volume. At any point in this though, if you try to take the toy he will immediately pull it away. If you are quick enough to take the toy though, you throw it and the game repeats itself. If there are two toys in the mix though, he absolutely must have whichever you are holding. So you can throw one… he brings it, sees the other toy and immediately drops the one he just fetched and stands captivated and ready to spring after it. So you toss it, pick up the other toy and repeat. This can go on for a very long time.

  • I love plaid and I really like your idea of making this pattern in all plaid. I’m trying to build up my stash of plaids. I’m definitely a dog person. Thanks for the chance to win!

  • I’m a total dog person, cats don’t like me and I don’t care for them, it’s kind-of an agreement that we have. I really love the fabrics you picked for this quilt. I have some country western fabrics in my stash waiting for the right project to come along!

  • Love your take on Grand Scrappy Tiles. I’m a dog lover and cat too. I follow your blog on Bloglovin’.

  • I love all animals, but I have been in cat rescue for about 30 years. Right now I have 4 cats & 2 dogs of my own & am fostering 4 kittens that I’ve had since they were 5 days old. They are now going on 6 weeks old & will soon be old enough to spay/ neuter & get adopted. I also have a colony of feral cats living in my back yard. I love all the plaids you used in your quilt. I think your daughter will love it.

  • My favorite pet has always been a cat, from a Siamese cat I am told rocked my cradle when I was a baby to my current alley cat we rescued from our backyard and had fixed. We took 12 cats to various spay/neuter programs since one of our neighbors deserted his whole male when he moved and started gross overpopulation. We placed 4 kept one and 5 of the other 7 disappeared over time. We have two that are semi feral cats that my husband feeds and we know some were killed by raccoons and possums. One was taken in by a neighbor since the cat was spayed and given shots and some we have no idea what happened. The neighborhood now only has about 5 stray cats and all are fixed. I keep my cat inside, but I couldn’t keep all 12 in my home.

  • I love both cats and dogs while currently I only own two cats.

  • I am definitely a cat person – I am owned by 3 right now.

  • We have 4 Barn Cats…no inside pets due to Husband’s allergy to them. But the cats here think I am their pet Human! lol Follow me everywhere…& sit where I sit outside…maybe they think they are dogs? giggle But they are good company 🙂

  • I am already a Follower thru Bloglovin 🙂

  • You quilt looks vintage. My favorite pet is a dog.

  • Great quilt! My fave pets are dogs and guinea pigs:).

  • I love dogs and cats and was raised with both in the home. When I got older, I chose to have cats in my home because I was raising 3 children on my own after kicking their father out of the house and divorcing him and let’s face it, dogs need to go outside. I didn’t have the energy to even think of doing that after working two jobs, raising the boys and collapsing in bed at night. LOL

  • Great looking pattern. I love scrappy quilts so this would be a great pattern to add to my collection. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

  • I have always been a dog-lover and we currently have a Morkie…a Maltese/Yorkie mix. Sophie is just adorable and loving in every way….all 8 pounds of her!

  • My favourite pet is my cat…..

  • My favorite pet is my mix breed animal shelter dog, Petra! She is the best dog.
